On Monday, the world reacted in horror as the nearly 900-year old Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris was nearly completely destroyed by fire.
Horrific flames quickly engulfed the entire core structure, and after 2 hours, the iconic spire collapsed, along with most of the roof and its 210 tons of lead.
That’s what we know.
Here’s what we don’t: What caused it?
Well the media seems to have focused on one reason, and one reason only: the cathedral was “under construction” — a reported $7 million project lasting years, and scheduled to complete just this year.
Therefore the most logical reason, absent obvious foul play, is a “construction accident.“
FoxNews and most other nets treated it as such:
Given the scope of the renovations, it is quite likely a “welding spark ignited paint thinner” or any other cause widely speculated in media reports, that can typically occur on a busy construction site.
But there’s just one big problem with that.
Two hours after the spire collapsed, French-Greek journalist Sotiri Dimpinoudis reported that there were no construction workers onsite at the time of the fire:

Not surprising, since it was near 6pm local time, and the unionized French workers typically depart at 4pm or so. Very surprising given the almost unanimous determination by the media that a construction-related cause was at fault.
Oddly, the first reportedly started just 15 minutes after the last visitors left the cathedral.
It may well have been an accident. But here’s what the media is NOT telling you that may well suggest it was a deliberate act of sabotage, arson or even terrorism.
First of Many Fires in French Churches in Past Several Months
France has been hit with a string of fires at Catholic churches, some of which occurred alongside desecration of sacred objects and acts of vandalism.
Less than one month ago, on March 19, the historic Saint-Sulpice — the 2nd largest church in Paris (next to Notre Dame) was set on fire in what police say was not an accident.
Do churches just “ignite” on their own? No construction was taking place at the time. The fire damaged doors and stained glass windows on the building’s exterior. Thankfully no one was seriously injured, and firemen were able to out out the blaze in time. Despite the suspected arson, no suspects have yet been arrested.
Other French Churches Desecrated in Recent Months
Sulpice was just one of many other historic French churches to suffer fires or “desecration” in recent months.
February saw a series of such attacks across France. In one incident, a cross of human excrement was smeared in the shape of a cross on the wall of the Notre Dame des Enfants in Nimes, the vandals also looting the church and spreading consecrated wafers in the garbage.
The same month, the altar at Saint-Alain Cathedral in Lavaur was set on fire, while statues and crosses were smashed throughout the premises. Two teenagers were later arrested in relation to the incident. Their identities were not publicly revealed.
In another incident on February 4, a statue of the Virgin Mary was found smashed on the ground at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Houilles, Yvelines. Just days later, the Eucharist was scattered and the altar cloth soiled at Church of Notre Dame de Dijon.
Previous ISIS-Linked Attempt to Blow Up Notre Dame Foiled in 2016
In September 2016, two Moroccan-French Muslims were arrested outside Notre Dame in stolen car with the plates removed. Inside were seven propane canisters and documents regarding a jihad plan from the Islamic State (ISIS) of Syria and Iraq. The plan was to blow up the gas canisters in the narrow street between the cathedral and the River Seine.
Remarkably, the first of the two suspects, Ines Madani, who testified against the other in exchange for a less jail time, was just sentenced last Friday to 8 years.
Was today’s attack another attempt by Islamic terrorists? There is certainly no evidence thus far, but also not one mention of this prior attempt in the mainstream media.
And if anyone even suggests, on Twitter for example, that the cause of today’s horrific destruction of Notre Dame was anything BUT a “construction accident,” that person is lambasted and attacked from hundreds of others.
Is that how we arrive at the “truth”? Via groupthink and censorship of speculation and logical analysis?
