Evidence emerged Monday that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has been lying to voters about a major claim, telling them she was fired from a teaching job because she was “visibly pregnant.”
Newly-uncovered county records contradict the claim that the new Democrat presidential frontrunner Warren has repeatedly told while on the campaign trail as part of her stump speech, causing chaos for the resurgent candidate who has moved past Joe Biden in the polls, as Biden’s family is embroiled in a Ukraine corruption scandal.
Just as Warren, who President Trump has derided as “Pocohontas” for lying about having Cherokee ancestry, has seemed to put that controversy behind her, a new pattern of dishonesty is seemingly about to dog her once again.
“Minutes of an April 21, 1971, Riverdale Board of Education meeting obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show that the board voted unanimously on a motion to extend Warren a ‘2nd year’ contract for a two-days-per-week teaching job,” the Free Beacon reported. “That job is similar to the one she held the previous year, her first year of teaching. Minutes from a board meeting held two months later, on June 16, 1971, indicate that Warren’s resignation was ‘accepted with regret.’”
During an interview in 2017, Warren said:
I was married at nineteen and graduated from college after I’d married, and my first year post-graduation I worked in a public school system with the children with disabilities. I did that for a year, and then that summer I didn’t have the education courses, so I was on an “emergency certificate,” it was called. I went back to graduate school and took a couple of courses in education and said, “I don’t think this is going to work out for me.” I was pregnant with my first baby, so I had a baby and stayed home for a couple of years, and I was really casting about, thinking, “What am I going to do?” My husband’s view of it was, “Stay home. We have children, we’ll have more children, you’ll love this.” And I was very restless about it.

“I loved it, and I would probably still be doing it today but back in the day, before unions, the principal, by the time we got to the end of the first year, I was visibly pregnant,” Warren said while on the campaign trail in May, as reported by Jeryl Bier on Wednesday. “And the principal did what principals did in those days: they wished you luck, showed you the door, and hired someone else for the job. And there went my dream.”
Warren has used her claim that she did not get to keep her job because she was “visibly pregnant” to as a way of trying to relate to female voters who feel like they face discrimination in the workplace because they are female.
Fox News’ Tucker Carlson and Lisa Boothe highlighted the growing scandal for Warren in a segment on Monday night, which comes as Warren is surging at the top of the polls as Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden has started to fade.
In terms of fundraising, Warren came in second place during the third quarter, raising $24.6 million between July and September, while Democrat presidential candidate Bernie Sanders hauled in the most cash, raking in $25.3 million.
Warren has faced years of intense criticism around her false claim that she was Native American — a claim that was debunked a year ago when Warren released the results of a DNA test that she thought proved that she was Native American, but instead suggested that she was between 1/64th and 1/1024th Mexican, Colombian, or Peruvian.
