Watch: Chinese Worker Caught Contaminating Medical Masks Before Shipment Arrives in NYC

A video of a Chinese manufacturing worker in an exported-goods factory was posted to Twitter showing the man contaminating medical masks.

The footage was released the same day New York received a large emergency batch of face masks from China.

On the same day as this video was posted to Twitter, an article released by NPR reports New York received an emergency shipment of the critical masks.

It is not known whether this Chinese factory was involved in the production of the supplies sent to New York.

But it is beyond dispute that the Unites States relies dangerously upon China for the vast majority of its medical supplies, including an estimated

90 percent of medical face masks, 97 percent of all antibiotics and 80 percent of active pharmaceutical ingredients needed to produce drugs in the United States.

It’s time to bring manufacturing of these critical goods back to the U.S., securing our future independence from an increasing enemy, and providing tens of thousands of jobs in the process.
