‘#AlexandriaOcasioSmollett’ Hashtag Trends #1 as AOC’s Capitol Riot Lies Are Exposed

Something remarkable happened on Twitter today — a Democrat got caught in a bald-faced lie — and a hashtag slamming them for it went super-viral…and stayed that way, causing liberals to go absolutely bonkers.

As we reported earlier, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has been telling anyone who will listen about her terrifying, near-death experience during the Capitol riots. And how Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) almost had her “murdered” inside the U.S. Capitol during the January 6th riot.

As was exposed today, however, by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) and many others, that AOC wasn’t even in the Capitol building during the events of January 6. Ocasio-Cortez was at the Cannon Building, where her office is.

“My office is 2 doors down,” Mace wrote in a Tuesday Twitter post. Rioters “never stormed our hallway. Egregious doesn’t even begin to cover it. Is there nothing the MSM won’t politicize?”

So her “near-death experience” was an overreaction to a Capitol Police officer — NOT a “rioter” — knocking on her door at the Cannon building — nearly half a mile away from the Capitol —

After the report went viral, and after AOC took offense over it, the tweets started rolling in fast and furious — with a perfect hashtag comparing her to another famous hoaxer, Jussie Smollett.

UPDATE: It didn’t work. The hashtag reached #1 on Twitter, and stayed there for hours…

After all the ridiculous lies AOC has spread on Twitter over the past two years, it is hard to think of someone more deserving of this payback.
