Mass Shooter in Memphis: Man Driving Around Shooting People While Livestreaming; City Urges “Stay Home!”

Just one day after the discovery of the body of a beloved teacher seized the national headlines, the city of Memphis is again the center of horrific bloodshed and mayhem.

Memphis police have issued a warning to residents about a 19-year-old Black man driving around the city shooting at people while livestreaming the shooting spree on Facebook. The city is urging people to stay home.

A photo of the suspect was released 30 minutes ago. His name is not known at this time:

UPDATE: Local news reports he has killed least one person, with an unknown number wounded.

A video clip was posted of one of the fatal shootings.

The city is warning residents to stay home.

Police are also calling on people to stay off the streets.

The suspect is reported to be carjacking drivers to switch vehicles:

The video clip posted by rteaking 911 shows the shooter opening the door of a store and opening fire on a customer.

Another video clip shows the shooter driving by a gas station and opening fire, yelling that “I want justice….justice in the street”….

WHBQ-TV reported on shooting victims:

“At least two shootings had been reported in Memphis as of 7 p.m., a deadly shooting at a BP gas station on South Parkway and a woman who was critically injured after being shot on Norris Road near I-240.”

UPDATE: THEY GOT HIM

Police in Memphis, Tennessee, arrested a 19-year-old man allegedly connected to a string of shootings recorded on Facebook in the city Wednesday.

The suspect, identified as Ezekiel Kelly, was taken into custody following a major manhunt. 

From police radio:

Memphis shooter Ezekiel Kelly suffered injuries after crashing stolen car. Taken into custody alive by authorities. Ivan and Hodge streets

Matt Walsh is alleging Kelly was previously convicted of attempted murder, and released early (what a, um, surprise!)….
